PG DIP IN SOCIOLOGY (SOCIETIES IN TRANSITION)
The goal of the Postgraduate Diploma is to provide a learning environment in which students are provided with the necessary critical and analytical skills to make sense of societies undergoing rapid and dramatic transitions. The Postgraduate Diploma programme interrogates the political, economic and social dimensions of change in transitional societies, using Ireland as a key point of reference. Our aim is to stimulate students to think about the role that sociological analysis can play in helping to advance solutions to the current social and economic challenges. The programme also provides professional training in analytical reasoning and research methods in the social sciences. The skills acquired transferable to a wide range of careers.
