Description

The Bachelor of Science in Computer Systems and Networking is closely aligned to the needs of industry, training graduates who are industry-ready with the skillset to support, administer and manage information communication technology (ICT) systems and networks in a wide range of industry sectors. Almost every business now relies on ICT and most require in-house ICT knowledge and expertise to track customers and products, to develop, analyse and administer web sites, to monitor and maintain their computers and networks, to maintain and update software operating systems and applications and to plan, deploy and monitor computer services while ensuring the security of data and networks. There are also many large and small computer companies developing and providing software and hardware services and solutions to a variety of sectors, including: financial services, food and agriculture, telecommunications, and health and education. There are many roles involved in the development of these services and solutions including testing, updating and deploying the solutions, operating and monitoring software remotely and providing customer support.
