Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Culinary Arts

The Culinary Arts honours degree course provides a pathway for creative employment opportunities within all aspects of the food industry. This is a course that reflects developments in both national and international Culinary Arts education. It combines practical reflective classes in kitchens and restaurants with an in depth theoretical knowledge-base and the development of communication, strategic thinking, problem solving and personal skills in its participants. This honours degree programme reflects the strong partnership between education, the individual student and the hospitality and food industries. MTU Kerry is located within the premier tourism hub of Ireland, which facilitates strong industry links and a professional network of employment opportunities. The college boasts a self-contained Hotel, Culinary and Tourism department, with five modern kitchens; purpose built demonstration kitchen theatre, a training restaurant and bar.
